Postnatal MOT

How does it work?

A specialist pelvic health physiotherapy appointment that ideally takes place face to face at our treatment rooms at Stillpoint in Central Bath.

What’s involved?

A postnatal MOT is a post-birth Pelvic Health check-up that involves a comprehensive check of your pelvic floor, posture and diastasis recti (aka tummy gap).

This is similar to a Mummy MOT but by Emma Smith, a fully qualified pelvic health physiotherapist.

You'll get a holistic assessment of your current state and a targeted treatment plan to help you achieve your lifestyle and movement goals.

Suitable for all mums

It doesn’t matter how long ago it is since you gave birth (even years later), but it must be after your GP health check at 6-8 weeks if you’ve recently given birth.

How many appointments are needed?

At your first appointment, we will discuss how many sessions you are likely to need, and can afford, to gain the benefit and achieve your goals.

For more information or to book, please

Emma has been extremely supportive in listening to my complaints and created a care plan which worked around me being a new mother.

By the time I had my follow up appointment 8 weeks later [following Emma’s guidance], things were very, very different. The pain had eased considerably, my continence was pretty much returned to normal, and my mood and worries around these issues had greatly improved.
